What’s the difference between a visitor and a guest? They may seem similar, but there are a few significant differences. Visitors are someone who unexpectedly appears, and as such, you can prepare for adequately. On the other hand, a guest is someone who we intentionally prepare to receive in our homes. Guests arrive expecting an experience, and we do our best to make sure they get that.
Why does this distinction matter? It’s time to start making people who drop by your website feel more like “guests” rather than another “visitor.” When you design a website, the guest feels welcomed from the moment he or she visit your site, even if they don’t initially purchase anything, people are encouraged to go straight back to you when they are ready to make a purchase.
